Reviving the Blog

Almost four years have separated this blog post from the previous post. Motherhood called and now 3 little tidbits call me Mumma.  The best title ever. Farm life has grown substantially in the last four years and I've had it on my heart to jump in and start sharing our life with those who find my habitual love of cows and critters intriguing.  So here goes. I hope 2017 brings lots of love and adventure from our family to yours.

A quick summary....William and I established our farm in Duncan, Oklahoma in 2007. Our 3 M's (McKinley, Mathias and Malachi) are 5, 3 and 1 year old. I milk between 8 and 13 Jersey cows 2x a day, tend to other livestock such as goats, sheep, chickens, rabbits and the pig.  We sell our milk and products here at our farm to some of the nicest and sincerely appreciative people in our area.

Everyday brings something new. Sometimes joyful, sometimes not, but always lessons to be reaped nonetheless. May our experiences and stories bring reminders of love, lessons of integrity, and true compassion and understanding of all His creations.

Quick child distraction and instant cooperation activity. 2 five gallon buckets. 1 can. 25 pounds of grain. They will sort and toss long enough for me to accomplish most of a milking.  What's dropped on the ground the chickens eat later. Win! Win!
